The Bimose HUB consists of a team of Operators in Charge (OICs), Overall Responsible Operator (ORO), Electrical Technologists, and Administrative/IT Support. This team is able to offer the following essential services to our member communities:
The HUB can offer ORO services for Water Treatment Plants that do not have an operator on staff that meets the classification level of the community's facility. The ORO can provide operational guidance to the community's operator and assist them with achieving the necessary qualifications to obtain ORO designation.
Water Treatment Plant facilities require continuous supervision as it provides an essential service to communities. The HUB can offer 24/7 remote monitoring of facilities to help offload the operational demands our member communities face.
Given the demands placed on community operators in running a 24/7 facility, the HUB can offer vacation and extended leave coverage to member communities when required. This helps to prevent operator burnout and provides redundancy to communities in the event of an unexpected circumstance.
With Water and Wastewater management being an essential community service, it is critical that our member communities have expedited access to additional support resources when unexpected operational failures occur. The HUB can assist with creating and obtaining the necessary reporting and funding for a wide variety of emergency situations.
Water Treatment Plant Facilities have extensive mechanical and operational components that require constant upkeep and repair. The HUB can provide support with electrical, mechanical, and technical issues, as well as assist with vendor relations to ensure all vital plant components are adequately maintained.
Becoming a Water Treatment Plant operator requires an individual commitment to a continuous learning cycle to keep certifications and credentials up to date. The HUB can assist with the acquisition of the required Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) to maintain licensing status, as well as advancing operators to higher classification levels.
Bimose Tribal Council and the HUB Program share a primary goal of providing professional advisory services to all our member communities to assist them with navigating the complexities of managing community services and facilities. Whether it be guidance on a particular project, assistance with obtaining funding, or support with managing resources, Bimose and the HUB are there to provide advisement when required.
Water Treatment Plant Facilities have extensive mechanical and operational components that require constant upkeep and repair. To assist with this responsibility, the HUB can offer Maintenance Management planning customized to the community's facility and provide software and hardware tools to support local operators to improve operational efficiency.
To keep the essential services of Water and Wastewater delivery running, Preventive Maintenance of vital facility components is imperative. The HUB can assist with scheduling and implementing maintenance procedures to ensure our member communities have the required support for continuous service delivery.
Emergency Response situations are unavoidable given the complexities that exist with providing continuous Water and Wastewater service delivery. Even with optimal Preventative Maintenance plans in place, emergency situations will occur. The HUB can assist with planning for these events, assisting the local operators with preparation, and can even respond to emergency calls in the event the local operator requires support or if the community does not have the resources on hand to appropriately respond.
Quality Assurance is a vital procedure to ensure Water and Wastewater facilities are kept to the required operational standards. The HUB can assist with the execution and delivery of Annual Performance Inspections (APIs) and ACRS reporting requirements.
