Bimose Hub - Operator in Charge (OIC) - Class 1 Operator

SUMMARY:
Bimose Hub provides water and wastewater facility services to First Nation communities in the Treaty #3 area.
We are seeking a Class 1 Operator in Charge (OIC) to support operations under the direction of the Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) and the HUB Manager.
DUTIES:
- Remotely monitor water and wastewater facilities
- Operate Facilities with different treatment methods
- Collect and maintain water and wastewater effluent quality data records
- Assist in operator training and capacity development to meet Federal and Provincial water quality regulations
- Support the development, implementation, and updates of Maintenance Management Plans (MMPs) and Emergency Response Plans (ERPs)
- Travel to First Nations water and wastewater facilities as needed to troubleshoot and restore system operations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Ontario Class 1 Water Treatment Certification (Mandatory)
- Experience working in water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Knowledge of Federal and Ontario water/wastewater regulations, including:
- Safe Drinking Water Act, O. Reg 170/03, 169/03, 128/04, 129/04, 903
- Protocol for Centralized Drinking Water and Wastewater Systems in First Nations Communities
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in computerized reporting systems and applications
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently
- Valid Class G Driver’s License
