The Bimose Education Partnership Program is excited to kick off our 2026–2027 Professional Development Series with a two-part session facilitated by Kerry’s Place Autism Services.
PD Session #1: ASD, ADHD & Anxiety
Wednesday, August 26 OR Thursday, August 27
Location: Clarion Hotel, Kenora
Breakfast: Starts at 8:00 AM
Mirrored Session: Participants only attend one day
Mileage: Provided to participants

Morning Session: From Respite to Recreation
This session will provide participants with information about Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with strategies for creating inclusive settings that allow students with ASD to participate fully in their school community.
Afternoon Session: Don’t Tell Me to Calm Down
This workshop will explore strategies to support individuals with ASD and/or ADHD with emotional regulation. Participants will learn about the differences between stress and anxiety, environmental factors that can increase stress and anxiety, and the relationship between ASD and other mental health diagnoses.

Join us on June 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM at Fort Frances High School for an exciting day focused on career exploration, education pathways, life skills, and hands-on learning opportunities for Treaty #3 youth.
The event will feature opening ceremonies with the Broken Horn Drumming Group, special guest Darren Yerxa, interactive activities, networking opportunities, prize giveaways throughout the day, cash prizes during the Pep Rally, and grand prize draws.
Students will receive complimentary snacks and drinks, with lunch available for purchase.
Visitors are also encouraged to stop by the Terry Skead Memorial Fundraiser Penny Table, featuring a variety of prizes. Proceeds will support the Terry Skead Special during the Cultural Camp Mini Powwow.
Participants are reminded to have their passport signed and questionnaires completed with their name and contact information to be eligible for grand prize draws.
We look forward to welcoming students, families, educators, and community members for a day of learning, connection, and opportunity.
