Heartfelt condolences from Bimose Tribal Council: Ron Indian-Mandamin

August 21, 2024

The Board of Directors and Staff of the Bimose Tribal Council extend their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ron Indian-Mandamin and the community of Iskatewizaagegan #39 Independent Nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this challenging time.

Ron dedicated his life to the preservation and resurgence of Anishinaabe language and Ceremony. As an Anishinaabemowin Instructor at David Kejick School, he was a gentle and compassionate teacher, sharing his knowledge of Anishinaabemowin and imparting teachings that the children will cherish for a lifetime.

As a colleague, Ron had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. He recognized the strengths in others and encouraged them to shine. Ron was always generous with the wisdom he carried, ready to share teachings with anyone eager to learn. Those who had the honor of working alongside him will forever hold his memory dear.

We will honor his legacy by continuing the important work he was so passionate about.

Journey well Baatikamiganung
