10th Annual Anishinaabemowin Language Bowl Returns as Migisi Sahgaigan School Takes First Place

Bimose Tribal Council was excited to host our 10th Annual Anishinaabemowin Language Bowl in Wauzhushk Onigum Nation, bringing together students from Grades 1–6 for a fun day of language, learning, and friendly competition.

The Language Bowl gives students an opportunity to build their Anishinaabemowin skills, connect with one another, and celebrate the language together in a positive and encouraging environment. It was great to see so much participation, enthusiasm, and school spirit throughout the day.

After some close competition, Migisi Sahgaigan School earned first place for the fifth time and will once again be taking the trophy back to their school. Congratulations to the students and staff on this impressive achievement and continued dedication to learning and celebrating Anishinaabemowin.

Final standings included:

1st Place – Migisi Sahgaigan School
